Confirm the figure for the specific build.\r\n\r\nIntrinsic safety\r\nThese constructions are designed to form part of an intrinsically safe system, and a blue sheath is the convention used to identify intrinsically safe circuits. Sheath colour does not by itself make a loop intrinsically safe: the cable inductance and capacitance per unit length must be checked against the permitted values for the complete loop.
