Standard PVC building wire on a reeling drum has roughly the life expectancy of a mayfly: the copper work-hardens, the sheath cracks, and the conductors birdcage inside. Purpose-built crane cable solves this with fine rope-lay copper (IEC 60228 Class 5\/6), a torsion-balanced lay, anti-torsion reinforcement and an abrasion-, oil- and UV-resistant PUR or rubber sheath.<\/p>\n    <p>The right construction depends on how the cable moves.
