Type 451 Class 1 Composite Screened Mining Cable 3.3/3.3–33/33 kV
Type 451 mining cable is a Class 1 composite screened 3.3/3.3–33/33 kV cable with a reduced-size pilot.
- Three semiconductive screened EPR power cores
- Two elastomer-covered earth conductors
- One reduced-size elastomer-covered pilot
- Composite copper/polyester-yarn screen
- XHD-85-PCP sheath with polyaramid braid
- For reeling and trailing service on listed mobile equipment
Confirm the pilot circuit and cable-management arrangement before quotation.
Type 451 mining cable with reduced-size pilot
Type 451 mining cable shares the 3.3/3.3–33/33 kV Class 1 composite-screened family with Type 450, but the supplied source specifies one reduced-size pilot. That difference is the principal selection cue for this page. The cable is listed for general-purpose reeling and trailing on draglines, shovels, excavators, wharf cranes and materials-handling equipment, with 33/33 kV available on request.
The power side uses three tinned-copper cores with semiconductive screened EPR insulation and a composite screen of tinned annealed copper wire and polyester yarn. Two elastomer-covered tinned earth conductors and the reduced-size pilot are laid in the interstices. An extra-heavy XHD-85-PCP sheath with polyaramid braid completes the construction.
Type 451 should therefore be selected from the equipment voltage, conductor area and pilot requirement together. Before release, confirm that the reduced pilot matches the monitoring/control circuit and that nominal diameter and mass suit the cable-management system. The supplied PDF does not provide current, bend-radius, pulling-load or speed limits. Include reel access and cable-entry clearances in the project review at site.
Type 451 reduced-pilot composite construction
The Type 451 build is intentionally distinguished by its reduced-size pilot. The remainder of the composite screened Class 1 arrangement must still be checked as a complete assembly: three power cores, two earths, pilot, screen and reinforced sheath.

| Parâmetro | Valor indicado na fonte |
|---|---|
| Núcleos de potência | Three tinned copper cores with XR-EP-90 semiconductive screened insulation |
| Tela composta | Tinned annealed copper wire and polyester yarn |
| Condutores de aterramento | Two elastomer-covered tinned earth conductors |
| Pilot | One reduced-size elastomer-covered pilot |
| Bainha | Extra-heavy XHD-85-PCP with polyaramid braid |
| Voltage note | 33/33 kV available on request |
The supplied cross-section is kept in Construction to make the reduced-pilot distinction visible. Use the technical tables for the exact pilot area, diameter and mass by voltage.
When Type 451 is the better comparison
Type 451 belongs in a comparison when the equipment needs the Type 450-style composite screen and Class 1 voltage family, but the pilot requirement is the reduced-size configuration listed by the source.
- Draglines, shovels, excavators and wharf cranes
- Materials-handling equipment and general reeling/trailing service
- Projects that need two earth conductors and one reduced-size pilot
- 33/33 kV enquiries where the requested option and documentation must be confirmed on the order
Do not substitute Type 451 for Type 450 without checking the pilot circuit, termination parts, nominal diameter, mass and route handling conditions.
Type 451 Class 1 Composite Screened Mining Cable 3.3/3.3–33/33 kV technical data
The dimensional and electrical values below are transcribed from the supplied PDF for Type 451 mining cable. The tables are retained by voltage, screen option or construction section as presented in the source. Source ordering codes are included where present in the extracted table; blank source cells are not assigned new values.
Use the relevant area, conductor dimensions, insulation or covering thickness, nominal diameter and mass together. The source does not create a universal current-capacity, bend-radius, pulling-load or travel-speed value for this product.
