Type 633 mining cable for 19/33 kV reeling and section feeders

Type 633 mining cable is a medium-voltage screened cable family rated 19/33 kV for electrically driven machines, movable and portable electric apparatus, section feeders and the open-cast mining equipment listed in the supplied SANS datasheet. It is a practical starting point for procurement teams comparing dragline, shovel, drill and other large mobile-equipment connections where a higher-voltage cable schedule and cable-management method must be reviewed together.

The standard Type 633 arrangement uses three individually screened flexible power cores laid up with three insulated pilot cores. Each power core uses Class 5 tinned annealed copper and triple-extruded EPR with a strippable semi-conducting screen. The source also defines a 633-ECC option: one pilot core is replaced with a tinned conductor. Nylon/tinned-copper braid, CR polychloroprene sheathing and open nylon reinforcement complete the listed construction.

Type 633 uses individually screened medium-voltage power cores laid up with three insulated pilot cores. The ECC designation changes the monitoring/earth arrangement by replacing one pilot core with a tinned conductor; that choice should remain visible in the equipment and termination schedule.
