Submersible Pump Cables TEBAOFLEX

SUBCAB Cable for Submersible Pump Motors with Control Cores

TEBAOFLEX SUBCAB cable is a composite submersible pump motor cable for pumps, mixers, mine dewatering and wastewater equipment where motor power, monitoring/control cores, screened VFD circuits or FO elements may need to be managed in one rugged cable.

  • Primary use: submersible pump motors, mixers, quarry and mine drainage pumps, industrial wet wells and municipal wastewater equipment
  • Construction concept: power cores with optional control, monitoring, screened signal or fiber-optic elements in one composite cable
  • Drive systems: screened versions are available for VFD pump installations where EMC and signal reliability must be reviewed
  • Wet-duty design: CPE or rubber outer sheath options for abrasion, oil, ozone and water exposure, depending on the confirmed construction
  • Temperature and water service: supplied data includes wet-service designs up to 70°C water temperature and 50 m water depth; confirm the exact duty before ordering
  • Quotation note: send the existing cable marking, pump model, voltage, conductor size, OD limit, control-core layout and VFD requirement

Product overview

SUBCAB Cable for Submersible Pump Power, Monitoring and VFD Systems

SUBCAB cable is selected when a submersible pump installation needs more than a simple motor lead. In demanding pump rooms, mine dewatering routes, quarry sumps and wastewater plants, the cable may need to carry motor power, sensor signals, monitoring circuits and, in some designs, screened signal pairs or fiber-optic elements within one cable body.

TEBAOFLEX supplies SUBCAB-style composite pump cable options for buyers who need to replace an existing pump cable, specify a new pump motor lead or consolidate separate power and auxiliary cables. The correct design depends on voltage, conductor size, pump-entry sleeve, water depth, water temperature, VFD use and the exact control-core layout.

For a SUBCAB cable replacement, do not specify only by the model name. Send a photo of the existing cable marking, the pump nameplate and the cross-section or wiring schedule if available. The same general cable name may refer to unscreened, screened, control-core, fiber-optic or special pump-supervision layouts.

For VFD pump systems, confirm whether the screen must cover the whole cable, individual control pairs, or both. For long vertical runs, confirm voltage drop, pulling force, clamp spacing and cable weight. For water or wastewater applications, confirm water temperature, depth, pH range, oil exposure and whether the cable is permanently immersed or intermittently wet.

Construction

Construction

Product typeComposite submersible pump motor cable
Model / search nameSUBCAB cable; SUBCAB-style composite pump cable
Power conductorsFlexible copper conductors, sized according to pump motor current and voltage-drop requirement
InsulationHEPR or EPR rubber insulation options; exact compound and temperature class to be confirmed per construction
Control / monitoring coresOptional integrated cores for pump supervision, sensor circuits or auxiliary control wiring
ScreeningAvailable as unscreened or screened constructions; VFD installations may require cable screen and/or individually screened control pairs
FO elementsFiber-optic elements can be reviewed for projects requiring interference-resistant data transmission
Outer sheathCPE or heavy-duty rubber sheath options for wet pump duty, abrasion, oil and ozone exposure, subject to confirmed specification
Applications

Applications

  • Submersible pump motor leads in wastewater, industrial water and drainage systems
  • Mine and quarry dewatering pumps where the cable may face water, abrasion and pulling forces
  • Mixer and pump installations requiring integrated control or monitoring conductors
  • VFD pump systems where screened construction and bonding must be reviewed
  • Replacement projects where the buyer needs a cross-reference against an existing composite pump cable

Buyer Value

The value of a SUBCAB cable is not only the cable name. The important selection points are the pump-entry seal fit, the control-core wiring, the screen termination, the wet-duty sheath material and the documentation needed by the project owner.

Dimensions & Data

The table below is a selection guide for common SUBCAB-style constructions. It is not a stock list. Final dimensions, weight and current rating must be confirmed from the selected conductor size, insulation, screen, sheath and pump-entry requirement.

Construction familyRepresentative configurationsSelection note
Power-only pump cable3-core, 4-core and 7-core layoutsUse where the pump does not require integrated monitoring, screened pairs or FO elements.
Power cable with control cores4G + 2 x 1.5, 7G + 2 x 1.5 and similar layoutsUse where auxiliary pump signals need to enter through the same cable.
Screened SUBCAB cableS3x power-core layouts with earth/concentric elements and screened control pairsUse for VFD or EMC-sensitive installations after confirming bonding and screen termination.
Composite cable with FOPower cores plus monitoring/control cores and FO elementsUse where pump supervision, data transmission or remote monitoring must be integrated.
Control cable variants2 x 1.5, 7 x 1.5, 12 x 1.5, 24 x 1.5 and screened control-core optionsUsed for control/supervision circuits where a separate control cable is specified.

For replacement work, provide the original outer diameter and the available cable-entry sleeve size. A correct conductor cross-section alone is not enough to confirm fit.

Standards

Standards

Visible standard claimNo unsupported approval is claimed on this page. Required certificates must be stated in the RFQ and confirmed in the quotation.
Material referencesSource data for this cable family references HEPR/EPR insulation and CPE-type heavy-duty sheath materials for wet pump duty.
VFD / EMC reviewFor screened versions, confirm the required screen type, earthing method and any EMC documentation before manufacturing.
Test documentationRoutine test, dimensional report, material declaration or third-party inspection can be reviewed according to project requirements.
Certificate cautionDo not assume IEC, VDE, CSA, MSHA, FM, CE, EMC or other approval coverage unless the exact document is included in the TEBAOFLEX offer.
