UL 1813 FEP Insulated Wire, 200°C 3000V
UL 1813 is a UL-certified FEP wire rated 200°C and 3000 V AC for internal equipment wiring. The combination of a fluoropolymer insulation system and a 3 kV rating makes the exact style important when specifying leads for higher-voltage appliance or electronic assemblies.
- Voltage: 3000 V AC
- Temperature: 200°C
- Insulation / covering: extruded FEP
- Size selection: 30–10 AWG; dimension table: 30–14 AWG
- Certification: UL-certified AWM; UL 758
UL 1813 wire selection
UL 1813 is a UL-certified FEP wire rated 200°C and 3000 V AC for internal equipment wiring. The combination of a fluoropolymer insulation system and a 3 kV rating makes the exact style important when specifying leads for higher-voltage appliance or electronic assemblies.
The conductor range is 30–10 AWG, with detailed nominal diameters below for 30–14 AWG. In that table, the 0.65 mm FEP wall produces outside diameters from 1.60 mm to 3.17 mm. The insulation requirement is therefore a substantial part of the finished size, especially on small conductors. Choose the AWG for the circuit and then check that the insulated lead fits the terminal and routing space.
Conductor finish, strip length and termination spacing should be selected together with the voltage rating. A 3000 V wire rating does not by itself set the voltage capability of the connector or complete equipment assembly. For comparison with lower-voltage FEP products, use the style designation and wall thickness as well as the material name.
See the Specifications tab for the model and size tables. Browse the high-temperature cable range for related constructions. Compare standard-voltage FEP wire family and the 3 kV high-voltage silicone wire for a different insulation system.
Construction
UL 1813 uses the following conductor and insulation system. The diagram illustrates the layer sequence; select the conductor construction and covering shown in the required size specification.

| Component | Construction detail |
|---|---|
| Conductor | Solid or stranded copper; conductor finish selected for the required temperature |
| Insulation | Extruded FEP |
| Construction | Single insulated conductor |
Applications
UL 1813 provides internal connections in appliances and electronic equipment that specify a 200°C, 3 kV FEP lead. Route it with suitable spacing, support and terminal insulation for the complete circuit.

UL 1813 replacement selection
For replacement enquiries, include the existing wire marking and the equipment connection drawing so the conductor, insulation and terminal arrangement can be matched.

Selecting the specified construction
Identify UL 1813 with AWG, conductor finish, required finished diameter and 3000 V AC duty. Request the exact construction dimensions for 12 AWG or 10 AWG when those sizes are needed.
