UL 1813 wire selection
UL 1813 is a UL-certified FEP wire rated 200°C and 3000 V AC for internal equipment wiring. The combination of a fluoropolymer insulation system and a 3 kV rating makes the exact style important when specifying leads for higher-voltage appliance or electronic assemblies.
The conductor range is 30–10 AWG, with detailed nominal diameters below for 30–14 AWG. In that table, the 0.65 mm FEP wall produces outside diameters from 1.60 mm to 3.17 mm. The insulation requirement is therefore a substantial part of the finished size, especially on small conductors. Choose the AWG for the circuit and then check that the insulated lead fits the terminal and routing space.
Conductor finish, strip length and termination spacing should be selected together with the voltage rating. A 3000 V wire rating does not by itself set the voltage capability of the connector or complete equipment assembly. Identify UL 1813 with AWG, conductor finish, required finished diameter and 3000 V AC duty. Request the exact construction dimensions for 12 AWG or 10 AWG when those sizes are needed.
