230 V Steam-Cleanable Self-Regulating Heat Trace Cable, 110°C/130°C
230 V self-regulating industrial heat trace with fluoropolymer insulation and outer sheath, for process maintenance to 110°C powered and 130°C unpowered exposure.
This 230 V steam-cleanable self-regulating heat trace cable is intended for pipes and tanks where temperature maintenance may be followed by a short higher-temperature cleaning or treatment condition. The source separates those duties clearly: the maximum pipe temperature is 110°C while the cable is powered and 130°C while it is unpowered. A 130°C exposure allowance does not raise the normal energized operating limit to 130°C, nor does the sheet specify an unlimited steam-cleaning duration.
Six power choices are listed at a 10°C reference pipe temperature: 10, 15, 20, 30, 45 and 60 W/m. These values provide sizing options for different heat losses; they are not a single fixed output over the whole process range. The construction uses copper conductors and a self-regulating conductive core, then fluoropolymer insulation, a copper screen and a fluoropolymer outer sheath. The reference sheet describes compatibility with steel, painted steel, stainless steel and plastic tracked surfaces and with exposure to corrosives and acids. Actual chemical concentration, cleaning cycle and termination compatibility still matter for selection.
The minimum installation temperature is −60°C and the minimum bend radius is 25 mm. Choose this family instead of the 120°C safe-area product when the fully fluoropolymer layered build and steam-washing duty are required, while keeping the powered limit in view. For a quotation, provide line dimensions, insulation, target hold temperature, lowest ambient, maximum cleaning temperature and duration, chemicals, voltage, area classification, control method and circuit length. The heat-trace cable, glands, ends and electrical protection must be specified as a complete system.
Compare related designs in our high-temperature cable range. Electrical supply cable: screened heating-circuit supply cable; it feeds the circuit, while this heat trace distributes heat along the process line.
The reference construction is copper conductors in a self-regulating conductive core, followed by fluoropolymer insulation, a copper screen and a fluoropolymer outer sheath. Both the insulation and outer sheath are fluoropolymer in this family, distinguishing it from the 120°C version with a modified-polyolefin outer sheath.
- Conductors: copper; size and plating not supplied.
- Heating element: self-regulating conductive core.
- Insulation and outer sheath: fluoropolymer.
- Metallic layer: copper screen.
- Minimum bend radius: 25 mm.
Overall dimensions, weight and screen resistance are absent from the reference sheet.

Use the 110°C powered / 130°C unpowered design for industrial pipe and tank maintenance where the project includes a higher-temperature steam-washing or thermal-treatment stage. The source lists steel, painted steel, stainless steel and plastic tracked surfaces and references exposure to acids and corrosives.
- Size the 10–60 W/m option from heat loss at the specified pipe temperature and insulation condition.
- Switch off or otherwise control the heat trace during any exposure above the 110°C powered limit; 130°C applies only to the unpowered condition.
- Check the exact cleaning medium, duration, terminations and cable accessories as a system.
This page has a different thermal envelope and outer jacket from the 120°C non-steam-washing family; the two specifications should not be treated as interchangeable.

Output is measured at the stated reference temperature. The temperature limits describe different operating conditions and are not interchangeable.

Maximum circuit length depends on the ordered power option, starting temperature and protective-device rating. Request the model-specific circuit-length schedule when planning the installation.

For a project that requires classified-area electrical heat tracing, EN IEC 60079-0:2018 and EN IEC 60079-30-1:2017 are cited as reference editions in the technical source. Provide the installation area classification and destination jurisdiction with the technical enquiry. The exact output variant, cable marking and compatible connection system need their own approval documentation for that installation.
