Product overview

Mobile machines in wet underground workings need trailing cable that keeps water out of the core while it is dragged and crushed, and higher-voltage machines need the same protection at medium voltage. This family groups the water-resistant OnGcekż-GW, also written OnGcekz-GW, with three related constructions: O2nGcekż-G with a double polychloroprene sheath, O2nGcekż-GW with a double sheath and water-blocking tape, and OnGcrekgż-G and OnGcrekgż-GS with an EP/CR sheath system.

The fully scheduled member is OnGcekż-GW at 0.6/1 kV to ZN-96/MP-13-K1172. Three tinned copper power cores with EPR insulation, each under a semi-conducting tape and a tinned copper/fibre braid with 30% coverage, are laid up with an insulated and screened pilot group and rubber fillers on a tinned copper earth conductor, wrapped in polyester tape and sheathed in polychloroprene that exceeds type ON-4. Ten layouts run from 3×25+16+3×2.5 to 3×120+50+6×4 mm², with outer diameters of 37.0 mm to 60.6 mm and current ratings of 152 A to 400 A.

The medium-voltage OnGcekż-GW and O2nGcekż-GW at 3.6/6 to 18/30 kV add water-blocking tape around the core, and OnGcrekgż-G(S) to ZN-95/MP-13-K104 is intended for fixed installation. These variants are engineered per order drawing and never borrow the 0.6/1 kV dimensions.

OnGcekż-GW (OnGcekz-GW) and O2nGcekż-GW Frequently Asked Questions

What does GW mean in OnGcekż-GW?

GW marks the water-resistant construction. On the 3.6/6 to 18/30 kV builds the core is also wrapped in water-blocking tape.

What is the difference between OnGcekż-G and O2nGcekż-G?

The O2n types have a double polychloroprene sheath; OnGcekż types have a single sheath. The core arrangement follows the same ZN-96/MP-13-K1172 construction.

Are the medium-voltage versions available in the same sizes as the 0.6/1 kV table?

No. The 3.6/6 to 18/30 kV OnGcekż-GW, O2nGcekż-GW and OnGcrekgż-G(S) are engineered per order drawing and do not use the 0.6/1 kV dimensions.

What are the MOQ and lead time?

The minimum order quantity is 50 m and the manufacturing lead time is 7 to 45 working days, depending on construction and quantity.
