RG7H1OR Three-Core HEPR Insulated MV Cable

RG7H1OR three-core copper-tape-screened power cable with Class 2 copper, G7 HEPR insulation and red PVC sheath. Source rating family U₀/U 1.8/3–18/30 kV; complete voltage-specific dimensions, current and electrical tables.

Product information
Product overview

RG7H1OR packages three phase cores in one HEPR-insulated, PVC-sheathed power cable for transformer-room and large-load connections. Each core uses a Class 2 compact copper conductor and the supplied construction specifies copper-tape metallic screens, coloured phase identification, extruded inter-core filler and a red Rz PVC outer sheath. The source catalogue lists U₀/U 1.8/3 through 18/30 kV, with separate size and electrical tables for each voltage grade.

Choose this three-core format when the route, termination plan and cable handling favour one assembly rather than three individual phase cables. The related RG7H1R is single-core with a copper-wire metallic screen, so do not reuse its dimensions, ampacity or screen bonding detail for RG7H1OR. The catalogue tables distinguish air and buried reference current; actual current capacity still depends on installation, grouping, ambient, thermal resistivity and termination limits.

The supplied source describes laying in air, tube, open route and certain underground installations subject to local rules. Confirm U₀/U, conductor size, pulling load, bending space and joint/termination interfaces before ordering. For mechanical protection by flat steel wire armour, compare RG7OZR / RG7H1OZR armoured family. More related designs appear in the industrial cable range.

Construction

Construction

The RG7H1OR source construction has three individually identified copper conductors inside a common PVC sheath. HEPR is the insulation layer; the finished cable has a PVC outer sheath.

Applications

Applications

RG7H1OR serves fixed energy transmission between transformer rooms and larger power users. The supplied catalogue describes installation in air, pipe or open route, with underground laying subject to the applicable installation rule. Check sheath protection, thermal conditions and route construction before specifying an unprotected buried installation.

For procurement, state voltage grade, three-core copper section, installation method, maximum pulling load, planned bend radii, screen earthing and required termination set. Reference guidance recommends 12 × OD minimum bend, 0 °C minimum installation temperature and 60 N/mm² maximum recommended copper-section pulling stress. Use the source air or buried current only as a starting point for project rating.

If separate single-core phase routes are required, use RG7H1R; if flat-wire armour is needed, review the armoured RG7 family.
