Screened Underwater PUR Cable – 3 to 21 Core
Screened underwater PUR cable is a build-to-order multi-core route for underwater equipment, instrument, control and connector-tail projects that require tinned copper conductors, an overall screen and a black polyurethane jacket.
- Configuration range: 3 to 21 conductor positions
- Conductor range: 0.34 to 8.0 mm² (22 to 8 AWG), depending on configuration
- Screen: overall foil with drain wire; one supplied option uses an 85% minimum tinned-copper braid
- Outer jacket: black polyurethane
- Documented voltage: 300 V or 600 V only for the configurations where a value is supplied
- Selection boundary: depth, pressure, immersion life, tensile duty and dynamic movement require project confirmation
For an RFQ, send the core count, conductor size, circuit voltage, cable length, equipment interface, movement, water depth and required tests.
Screened Underwater PUR Cable Selection Overview

This screened underwater PUR cable family groups 14 conductor layouts for engineers comparing compact power, control and instrumentation routes in underwater equipment. The supplied configurations cover 3 to 21 tinned-copper conductor positions from 22 to 8 AWG, with a black polyurethane jacket and either an overall foil screen with drain wire or, for one eight-core option, a tinned-copper braid.
Select the electrical layout first, then verify the complete cable-and-termination system. The source data does not establish a common depth rating, pressure rating, waterblocking system, tensile capacity or dynamic-flex life. Voltage is stated only for selected configurations, so an unstated value must not be copied from another option.
- Suitable selection route: protected underwater instrument, sensor, actuator, lighting and control connections.
- Confirm before ordering: circuit load, length, voltage drop, screen bonding, connector or moulded termination and installation geometry.
- Choose another construction when: the cable must carry deployment load, operate as a free-swimming tether or meet an unverified depth, pressure or dynamic-reeling requirement.
Compare this family within the marine and offshore cable range. Final supply requires an approved TEBAOFLEX drawing and project-specific technical review.

Screen termination and mechanical boundary
The foil or braid must be bonded through a compatible connector, gland or moulded termination. No supplied configuration includes a verified tensile member, armour or waterblocking system, so the cable must not be treated as a load-bearing tether or depth-rated assembly without separate evidence.Applications for Screened Underwater PUR Cable
Use this family as a configuration route where an underwater equipment connection needs multiple copper circuits, an overall screen and a compact PUR-jacketed construction. Final suitability depends on the termination and the complete environmental duty.- Protected power and control connections for underwater instruments, sensors, actuators and lighting.
- Connector tails or moulded cable assemblies after the connector interface, sealing method and pressure validation are defined.
- Multi-core screened links where a drain wire or braid provides a planned screen-bonding route.
- Custom equipment wiring where the buyer can specify core count, conductor size, length and circuit allocation.
Do not select from conductor count alone
This page does not establish suitability for free-swimming ROV tethers, towing, suspension, repeated reeling, seabed burial or long-term immersion at a stated depth. Those duties require confirmed waterblocking, pressure, tensile, bend, fatigue, buoyancy and termination data.RFQ inputs
Send the equipment, circuit voltage and current, signal type, cable length, core allocation, screen-bonding plan, connector or gland, water depth, pressure, temperature, movement pattern, minimum bend geometry and required inspection documents.Screened Underwater PUR Cable Specifications

Selection notes
- Calculate voltage drop and conductor heating for the actual circuit length and installation.
- Check the stated outside diameter against the connector, mould, gland, bend exit and routing space.
- Do not transfer a 300 V, 600 V, temperature, bend or weight value to a configuration where the source is silent.
Standards and Documentation Status
- CE, UL, IEC, EN, marine-class, waterblocking or certified-submersible claim.
