The NEK 606 P108 UX earth cable is a single-core green/yellow 0.6/1 kV cable for fixed protective-earthing and equipotential-bonding routes on offshore oil and gas installations. The construction combines a Class 2 stranded tinned copper conductor with an SHF2 H-M halogen-free covering. Size the bonding conductor for the fault duty
Continuous current capacity is only one input. Protective-earthing and bonding conductors must be checked against the project earthing design, prospective fault current, protective-device clearing time, permitted conductor temperature and applicable installation rules. The supplied one-second short-circuit values provide a reference, but the project engineer must confirm the final size and protection coordination.

P108 UX is selected for offshore routes where salt-laden air, hydrocarbons, mineral or hydraulic oils and drilling fluids or muds may be relevant. State the actual chemicals, concentration, temperature, exposure duration and cleaning regime in the RFQ. A general mud- or oil-resistance reference should not be treated as universal chemical compatibility.
Coordinate lugs, glands and mechanical support
Use the nominal diameter and weight table to plan cleats, supports, entry seals and handling. Confirm the final manufactured diameter before ordering compression lugs, glands or transit components. The minimum bend value is 4 × cable OD for fixed installation; repeated bending requires a different moving-duty assessment.
