H07RN-F Cable for Heavy-Duty Flexible Power
H07RN-F cable is a 450/750 V harmonized rubber flexible cable for portable equipment, construction-site supplies, generators, workshop tools and industrial machinery. The H07RN-F designation is useful to procurement teams because it identifies a flexible Class 5 copper conductor with rubber insulation and a heavy elastomeric sheath, while the final size and core arrangement still need to be selected for the circuit.
This page is for general H07RN-F power service. It is not a substitute for a submersible, continuous-reeling, high-torsion or hazardous-area cable specification. Use the technical tabs to check the reference ratings and confirm the project code, current capacity, installation temperature, bend radius and required documentation before release.
- Typical fit: mobile tools, temporary power, agricultural and industrial equipment.
- Selection boundary: confirm wet, oil, UV, mechanical and movement exposure separately.
- RFQ input: voltage, core count, cross-section, route, length, marking and destination standard.
For wet pump duty, compare H07RN8-F cable. For other rubber portable cables, review the Industrial Cable category.
Procurement note: quote both the installation environment and whether the cable is fixed, occasionally flexed or moved continuously.
Construction
H07RN-F uses a flexible copper-and-rubber construction intended for medium mechanical stress and repeated handling.
| Layer | Reference construction |
|---|---|
| Conductor | Fine-stranded bare copper, Class 5 reference to EN/IEC 60228 |
| Core insulation | EI4 rubber compound reference |
| Core identification | Colour identification; confirm the ordered sequence and protective conductor |
| Outer sheath | Black EM2 rubber / elastomer compound reference |
| Lay-up | Insulated cores stranded in layers with fillers or separators as required |
Final conductor material, colour, sheath compound, diameter and marking must be confirmed on the quotation for the selected size.
Reference construction to DIN VDE 0282 Part 4
| Element | Detail |
|---|---|
| Conductor | Fine stranded copper, class 5 |
| Insulation | EI4 rubber compound; in the reference build an ethylene propylene rubber that resists ozone and sunlight |
| Core identification | Up to 5 cores coloured; above 5 cores black with printed numbers |
| Lay-up | Cores twisted |
| Inner sheath | EM1 rubber compound, only for cross-sections above 10 mm² or more than 5 cores |
| Outer sheath | Chlorinated rubber compound EM2, black, oil resistant and flame retardant |
Because the reference insulation is itself ozone- and sunlight-resistant, the cores need no additional protection where they leave the sheath at the connection ends. Smaller cables without an inner sheath carry the EM2 sheath directly over the twisted cores, which is why their diameters in the size table step up noticeably once 10 mm² or 5 cores is exceeded. The national designation A07RN-F covers the same construction.
Applications
- Portable and mobile industrial equipment
- Construction-site temporary power and generators
- Hand tools, workshop equipment and battery chargers
- Agricultural machinery and transportable motors
- Stage, event and audio-visual power distribution
H07RN-F is a general heavy-duty flexible cable. Do not infer continuous submersion, seawater, continuous reeling, lifting or hazardous-area approval from the designation alone. For pump duty, see H07RN8-F; for the 300 V North American junior-service equivalent, see SJOOW portable cord; for category browsing, use the Industrial Cable category.
Reference uses and fixed installation
The reference application covers heating units, industrial tools, mobile equipment and machines - vulcanisation plates, hand-operated equipment and transportable motors among them - under normal mechanical loads, in dry and damp areas and outdoors, in industrial and agricultural use and on building sites. The reference literature also lists explosion-hazard areas; whether a given installation qualifies still depends on the site's own rules and approvals, as noted above.
The cable may also be installed in fixed positions, for example in provisional constructions, on building sites, and in conveyor systems and machines. For continuous heavy mechanical duty at 0.6/1 kV, compare (N)SSHÖU heavy-duty rubber cable.
Reference note: for enquiries marked TENAX-O, TEBAOFLEX manufactures to the H07RN-F designation and the construction confirmed for the order, and is not affiliated with the trademark holder.
Reference designation cross-reference
This harmonised rubber cable is ordered under a harmonised code, a national code and a manufacturer reference name; all three are the same construction.
| Reference designation | TEBAOFLEX designation and build | Rated voltage | What the reference name marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| TENAX-O / H07RN-F | H07RN-F heavy-duty rubber flexible cable | 450/750 V | A manufacturer reference name for the harmonised construction |
| A07RN-F / H07RN-F | H07RN-F heavy-duty rubber flexible cable | 450/750 V | The national designation for the same build |
For the full list of reference designations and the TEBAOFLEX build each one maps to, see the mining cable designation cross-reference.
Trademark note: TENAX®, TROMMELFLEX®, FELTOFLEX® and SCHRÄM® are trademarks of their respective owners, and TEBAOFLEX is neither affiliated with those companies nor reselling their cable. What we supply is the equivalent construction: we manufacture to the same VDE type designation and published construction, and every designation listed here can be quoted and supplied as a TEBAOFLEX build. Each TEBAOFLEX build is made to the standards and construction confirmed for the order.

| Fixed installation | above 12 mm | 4 × D |
| Mobile use | up to 12 mm | 4 × D |
| Mobile use | 12 to 20 mm | 5 × D |
| Mobile use | above 20 mm | 6 × D |
D is the cable outer diameter from the table below, so the radius for a given size can be read straight across: a 4 × 2.5 mm² cable at 13 mm needs 5 × D, 65 mm, in mobile use.
