Product overview

(N)TSKCGEWOEU medium-voltage reeling cable is specified for mobile crane and large-equipment routes where power and fibre-optic data must move together under repeated reeling, high travel speed, dynamic tensile load, changes of direction and torsion. The LWL/FO construction combines flexible medium-voltage cores with integrated fibre-optic elements for combined energy and communication on container cranes, ship unloaders and other heavy mobile equipment.

The product family is referenced in 3.6/6 kV, 6/10 kV, 8.7/15 kV and 12/20 kV classes. Final core arrangement, fibre type, screen system, drum geometry, speed and current capacity depend on the quoted construction. Send the required voltage, power-core size, fibre count and type, reel travel, bend path, tensile duty and environmental conditions so the offered cable can be checked against the installation. This page uses the exact model keyword without treating a neighbouring (N)TSCGEWOEU power-only design as an equivalent.

For project specification, identify the power-core arrangement, protective-conductor layout, fibre mode and core count, screen requirements, cable length, drum type, travel direction and termination method. A medium-voltage reeling cable should be released only after the mechanical route and fibre preparation details are checked.

Construction

Construction

  • Fine-stranded copper conductor, Class 5 reference.
  • EPR rubber insulation with inner and outer semiconductive layers for medium-voltage field control.
  • Protective conductors arranged in the outer interstices.
  • Special rubber inner sheath, synthetic anti-torsion braid and abrasion-resistant rubber outer sheath.
  • Integrated fibre-optic elements in the LWL/FO build; fibre type and count are project-dependent.

The braid and sheath system are selected for multi-plane deflection and torsional reeling. Do not substitute a power-only (N)TSCGEWOEU cable without checking the data requirement.

Applications

Applications

  • Fast-moving container cranes and ship-to-shore crane systems.
  • Ship unloaders, stackers, reclaimers and other large mobile equipment.
  • Mining and heavy-industry machinery using motorized cable reels.
  • Combined medium-voltage power and fibre-optic communication routes.

Provide travel direction, reel type, maximum speed, bend path, suspended length, torsion, ambient temperature and water/oil exposure for application review. Fibre termination should be factory- or specialist-prepared for the selected connector dimensions.

Related selection: power-only MV crane reeling cable and MV mining trailing cable.

Standards

Standards

  • Based on DIN VDE 0250-813 reference for flexible medium-voltage reeling cables.
  • Electrical and mechanical test scope must be confirmed for the quoted voltage, core and FO configuration.
  • Any inspection report, approval or project certificate must be requested in the RFQ; none is implied by the model name alone.
