PEEK High Voltage Hybrid Cable — 7.5 kV DC Shielded Core

PEEK-insulated HV/LV hybrid cable with nickel-plated copper conductors and an overall stainless-steel braid. HSC-7.5-2K2SA combines a 7.5 kV DC / 3.0 kV AC screened core with a separate auxiliary core in an approximate 3.7 × 5.0 mm profile.

Product overview

PEEK high voltage hybrid cable combines one individually screened high-voltage core with a separate auxiliary core in a compact stainless-steel-braided assembly. The HSC-7.5-2K2SA reference configuration uses nickel-plated copper AWG22 conductors and PEEK insulation. The larger screened core is rated 7.5 kV DC or 3.0 kV AC; specify the auxiliary circuit voltage separately when defining the equipment connection.

The two circuits have different layer sequences. The high-voltage core has a nickel-plated copper braid beneath a PEEK inner jacket, while the smaller auxiliary core has PEEK insulation without an individual metallic screen. A V2A stainless-steel braid encloses both cores. This arrangement brings high-voltage and auxiliary functions together while keeping their electrical connections distinct.

Use the configuration table to check the approximate 3.7 × 5.0 mm profile, −60°C to +200°C operating temperature and 60 mm static bend radius. The exposed overall braid forms the cable exterior, so the routing, end preparation and fixing method should suit this braided profile. The shielded-core test voltages are listed separately from its working voltages.

For a quotation, provide the high-voltage waveform and working voltage, auxiliary-circuit function, length, screen termination and end-connection drawing. Include any radiation-exposure conditions required by the equipment specification so the material and test requirements can be defined for the selected assembly.

Applications

Applications

For fixed connections in high-voltage instruments and special equipment that require a high-voltage circuit and a separate auxiliary circuit within one compact braided assembly.

Application illustration.
  • Equipment modules using the individually screened high-voltage core together with an auxiliary connection.
  • Fixed routes where the PEEK insulation temperature range and braided exterior suit the installation.
  • Special-equipment projects requiring assessment of PEEK for the specified radiation environment.

Define the electrical function and working voltage of each circuit, the screen and overall-braid terminations, the static bend radius and the end-connection drawing. Include the required exposure conditions in the enquiry.
