MKVV / MKVVP 450/750 V Mining Control Cable
MKVV and MKVVP mining control cables connect fixed control, monitoring and protection circuits at 450/750 V. Both use copper conductors with PVC insulation and a flame-retardant PVC sheath; MKVVP adds an overall copper-wire braid. The listed configurations cover 0.75–10 mm², with core counts depending on conductor size. Send the model, core schedule, route and required documents for a quotation.
MKVV mining control cable carries control, monitoring and protection circuits in fixed underground installations at 450/750 V. This family covers two constructions: unscreened MKVV and overall copper-braided MKVVP. Both use copper conductors and PVC insulation and sheathing. Choose between them from the circuit and routing requirements, then select the conductor size and number of cores from the separate configuration tables.
The P suffix identifies the copper-wire screen. It changes the termination arrangement and cable diameter, so an MKVVP cable should not be ordered from an MKVV dimension alone. Where screening is required, the panel entry, screen connection and equipment earthing arrangement need to work together. Where the circuit does not require a screen, the unscreened construction offers a distinct selection within the same fixed control-cable family.
These products serve fixed routes between control cabinets, distribution equipment and monitoring or protection devices. Their copper conductors are Class 1 or Class 2, rather than a high-flexibility conductor selected for repeated movement. A cable that fits a stationary panel connection still needs a different duty assessment if it will travel on a reel, pass through a drag chain or hang unsupported in a shaft.
Use the model-specific size tables to check entries and available space before requesting a quote. Final conductor class, core identification, screen termination and drum lengths belong on the order specification. TEBAOFLEX supplies this family from 50 m, with a confirmed production lead-time range of 7–45 working days.

Construction
MKVV and MKVVP share copper conductors, PVC-insulated cores and a PVC outer sheath. MKVVP adds one overall copper-wire braid outside the bound core assembly. The main image illustrates a representative MKVVP 3 × 1.5 mm² construction with solid copper conductors.
| Component | Material and construction |
|---|---|
| Conductors | Copper, Class 1 solid or Class 2 stranded to GB/T 3956; specify the conductor class on the order. |
| Core insulation | PVC insulation on each conductor. Core identification is selected to match the circuit schedule. |
| Core assembly | Insulated cores laid together with fillers and binding tape as required by the configuration. |
| MKVV screen | No metallic screen in the MKVV construction. |
| MKVVP screen | Overall copper-wire braid around the bound core assembly; this is an electrical screen, not steel armour. |
| Outer sheath | Flame-retardant PVC. Neither construction includes a steel-tape or steel-wire armour layer. |
Applications
Select MKVV or MKVVP for fixed control wiring after checking the circuit voltage, installation route and required screen connection. The two models share a nominal voltage but have different outer dimensions.
- Fixed control connections between mine electrical equipment and control cabinets.
- Monitoring, signalling and protection circuits specified for 450/750 V control cable.
- MKVVP where an overall copper braid is required by the control-system design; arrange screen termination with the equipment supplier.
- MKVV where the specified fixed circuit does not require an overall metallic screen.
- Select a cable designed for repeated movement for reels or cable chains. Neither the braid nor the PVC sheath supplies a rated shaft suspension member.
For route and construction selection, see mining and tunneling cable selection.
For an industrial circuit that requires flexible conductors, compare the Y / YCY / VCT flexible PVC control family and verify the installation duty and voltage separately.
For copper communication circuits arranged as pairs or quads, see the MHYV mining communication cable family. Its circuit grouping and construction differ from this multicore control range.

The tables list discrete configurations. For 0.75–2.5 mm², the listed core counts are 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 19, 24, 27, 30 and 37. For 4 and 6 mm², the list ends at 19 cores; for 10 mm² it ends at 10 cores.
Diameters and weights are reference design values. Confirm the final construction drawing before selecting glands, clamps, drum capacity or transport allowances. Do not apply the unscreened dimensions to the braided cable.
The 6D radius uses the finished cable outer diameter. It is a bending requirement for this fixed-installation family, not a flex-cycle or reeling-life rating.
Specify conductor class, core identification, circuit voltage, screening arrangement, route exposure and the installation temperature. The operating-temperature range is not an instruction to install the cable at its lower limit.
Standards
| Standard or specification | Application |
|---|---|
| GB/T 3956 | Conductor construction: Class 1 or Class 2 copper, as specified for the order. |

Official standards and approval references
Use the specified conductor standard and flame-test designation when defining the cable inspection and documentation requirements. A standards reference and a product approval serve different purposes.
- GB/T 3956-2008 official standard record — Conductor classes and the national standard for conductors of insulated cables.
- KA/T 386-2011 official standard record — Coal-mine cable flame-test methods and the replacement relationship with MT/T 386-2011.
Certifications and document support
Review our company certificates and document scopes when identifying the documentation required for the quoted construction.
Company certificates describe their stated organizational scope. For this control-cable family, request the model-specific documents required by the destination mine and match them to the quoted construction. Certificates for MYP, MYPT or MYPTJ cover different product models.
