MYJV, MYJV22, MYJV32, MYJV42 & MYJV-GXT (0.6/1–8.7/10 kV) XLPE Armoured & Fibre-Composite Mine Power Cable
Fixed XLPE-insulated, PVC-sheathed coal-mine power cable in six voltage classes from 0.6/1 kV to 8.7/10 kV: MYJV unarmoured, MYJV22 double steel-tape armoured, MYJV32 fine steel-wire armoured for inclined shafts and MYJV42 thick steel-wire armoured for vertical shafts, plus MYJV-GXT and MYJV22-GXT with integrated optical fibres for substation telemetry.
Fixed power distribution in Chinese-standard underground coal mines, from shaft-bottom substations to panel transformers, pump chambers and conveyor drive houses, is built on the MYJV family of XLPE-insulated, PVC-sheathed mine power cables. One designation covers six voltage classes, 0.6/1 kV, 1.8/3 kV, 3.6/6 kV, 6/6 kV, 6/10 kV and 8.7/10 kV, and the armour suffix tells the installer where the cable may go: MYJV is unarmoured, MYJV22 has double steel-tape armour, MYJV32 has fine galvanized round steel-wire armour and MYJV42 has thick galvanized round steel-wire armour.
Steel tape armour gives crush protection in horizontal roadways and inclined drifts but carries no tensile load. Fine wire armour is used where the cable must resist pull along inclined shafts, and thick wire armour is the choice for vertical shafts where the armour carries the suspended weight. Cross-sections are quoted from 3×10 mm2 up to 3×400 mm2, but the available core and size combinations and the reference diameters are confirmed for each voltage and armour code at order stage; the dimensions of one suffix are never assumed for another.
For substations that need protection signalling and data on the same route, MYJV-GXT and MYJV22-GXT add telecommunication optical fibres in protective tubes laid in the core interstices, at 3.6/6, 6/10 and 8.7/10 kV from 3×25 to 3×300 mm2. Fibre count and type, for example G.652D single-mode or OM2 / OM3 multimode, are configured to the project telemetry plan.

MYJV, MYJV22, MYJV32 and MYJV42 Coal-Mine Applications & Route Scope
Select the armour code by route and tensile duty, and the GXT version where fibres must travel with the power circuit.

- Shaft-bottom and panel substations, main pump chambers and conveyor drive houses fed at 0.6/1 kV to 8.7/10 kV (MYJV, MYJV22).
- Horizontal roadways and inclined drifts where cables on brackets need crush protection (MYJV22) or must resist longitudinal pull (MYJV32).
- Vertical shaft feeders where the armour must carry the suspended cable weight (MYJV42), with suspension method and safety factor fixed on the order drawing.
- Digital substations and optical differential protection links that need fibre telemetry alongside 3.6/6 kV to 8.7/10 kV power (MYJV-GXT, MYJV22-GXT).

MYJV and MYJV-GXT Frequently Asked Questions
Which MYJV armour code should be used in a vertical shaft?
MYJV42, with thick galvanized round steel-wire armour that carries the suspended cable weight. MYJV and MYJV22 cannot carry vertical self-weight, and MYJV32 is intended for inclined shafts. The suspension method and safety factor are fixed on the order drawing.
Are all 0.6/1 to 8.7/10 kV and 3x10 to 3x400 mm2 combinations available in every armour code?
No. The size range is an enquiry range. Available core and cross-section combinations and reference diameters are confirmed for each voltage class and armour code on the quotation drawing.
What fibres can MYJV-GXT carry?
Telecommunication fibres in protective loose or stainless steel tubes in the core interstices. Fibre count and type, for example G.652D single-mode or OM2 / OM3 multimode, are configured to the project telemetry and protection requirements.
What are the MOQ and lead time?
The minimum order quantity is 50 m and the manufacturing lead time is 7 to 45 working days, depending on construction and quantity.
