4GTL3Gekwn-G 300/500 V Mining Signal and Control Cable
4GTL3Gekwn-G 300/500 V is a flexible paired cable for communication, signalling and control on open-pit mining machinery. Class 6 copper, EPR-based insulation and an overall tinned-copper braid sit within two TPO sheaths.
4GTL3Gekwn-G is a 300/500 V screened signal and control cable for open-pit mining machines and sand-pit equipment. Paired conductors carry communication, signalling and control circuits, while a common tinned-copper braid provides an overall screen. The construction on this page uses Class 6 copper conductors, EPR-based thermoplastic elastomer insulation, and inner and outer thermoplastic polyolefin sheaths.
Select from 2, 5, 10 or 20 pairs and nominal conductor sections of 1, 1.5 or 2.5 mm². Pair count, conductor size and the finished cable diameter must match the machine wiring, glands and handling route. The overall braid surrounds the inner sheath; it is not an individual screen on each pair. This distinction matters when replacing a cable whose circuits depend on a particular screen arrangement or pair identification.
The design includes limits for bending, static tensile stress and spacing between fixed supports during bidirectional rotation. These values support route design but do not establish unrestricted rotation, a universal reeling speed or a flex-cycle life. Specify the movement, travel, fixing points and ambient conditions with the enquiry so the cable and its installation can be checked together.
TEBAOFLEX supplies this mining signal cable from a minimum order of 50 m, with a lead time of 7–45 working days. Request the factory specification sheet and construction drawing for the selected arrangement. Include the machine model, circuit requirements, pair count, conductor section, route length and any required mine acceptance documents.

Construction
A flexible paired core assembly sits inside a TPO inner sheath. One common tinned-copper braid lies between the inner and outer TPO sheaths. The main image illustrates a compact two-pair sample; colours and pair identification are agreed for the ordered build.
| Component | Material and construction |
|---|---|
| Conductors | Class 6 flexible copper; nominal sections 1, 1.5 or 2.5 mm². |
| Insulation | EPR-based thermoplastic elastomer; minimum tensile strength 12.5 MPa, minimum elongation 300%, hardness 70 Shore A. |
| Pair assembly | 2, 5, 10 or 20 pairs; agree the circuit and colour identification schedule with the order. |
| Inner sheath | Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO); minimum tensile strength 5.0 MPa and minimum elongation 250%. |
| Overall screen | Common tinned-copper wire braid, minimum coverage 65%, located over the inner sheath. |
| Outer sheath | TPO with minimum tensile strength 9 MPa and minimum elongation 300%; UV, ozone, oil and petrol resistance. |
Applications
Select the complete paired construction and route conditions for the machine communication and control circuits.
- Communication and signalling circuits on open-pit mining machines.
- Machine control wiring for sand-pit and surface-mining equipment.
- Flexible connections requiring a common overall copper screen and a paired core arrangement.
- Machine routes with limited bidirectional rotation, provided the fixing distances and mechanical limits are respected.
- Replacement projects requiring a defined pair count, conductor section, voltage rating and insulation system.

D is the finished cable outside diameter. The selected pair count and conductor section determine the detailed build; confirm the finished diameter, weight and tolerances on the factory drawing.
The rotation provisions describe spacing between fixed supports. They are not a declaration of continuous unlimited rotation, torsional cycle life or a permissible reel speed.
Avoid excessive axial forces. The 15 N/mm² value is a static tensile-stress limit for each conductor; it is not a universal pulling-force rating for the complete cable.
The oxygen-index value describes material flammability. Agree any required cable flame test separately; this value does not establish fire survival or circuit integrity.
An overall braid is not an individually screened-pair arrangement. Agree screen termination and earthing with the machine circuit design.
This page specifies the 300/500 V, Class 6 construction. For a legacy replacement, provide its complete datasheet and marking so conductor class, materials and electrical limits can be matched.
Relative humidity tolerance does not establish water-submersion depth, pressure or duration. Define those conditions separately where relevant.

Official standards and approval references
The model specification, company management-system certificates and product-specific approvals have different scopes. Confirm the documents required by the destination mine and the selected construction.
Paired signal construction alone does not establish intrinsic safety, Ethernet performance or permission for a hazardous location. Define the circuit and acceptance requirements in the enquiry.

Certifications and document support
Review our company certificates and document scopes when identifying the documentation required for the quoted construction.
Request the factory specification sheet, construction drawing and applicable test documents for the selected pair count, conductor section and 300/500 V Class 6 construction. Identify the destination country, mine and any mandatory approval scheme so the document scope can be checked against the actual product.
