(N)SHÖU O/J cable is a 0.6/1kV rubber flexible cable for mining power routes, conveyors, moving equipment, hoisting and material-handling systems. It is selected when the cable needs flexible Class 5 copper conductors, rubber insulation, rubber sheathing and practical resistance to abrasion, oil exposure and flame propagation references shown in the supplied data.
Unlike ordinary PVC power cable, this rubber construction is intended for harsher industrial routes where cable handling, bending, reel storage, equipment vibration and outdoor or damp service can shorten the life of a weaker jacket. The O/J designation should be confirmed during ordering so the protective conductor arrangement matches the equipment and local wiring practice.
This cable is a good fit for mining, tunneling and heavy industrial equipment power where the route is demanding but does not require a screened EMC construction or a medium-voltage trailing design. When the equipment uses VFD drives, coal-cutter duty, high-speed reeling, or special monitoring conductors, use a more specific screened, trailing or reeling cable page instead of treating every rubber mining cable as interchangeable.
