(N)TMCETMPU Cable for Heavy Mobile Mining Equipment
(N)TMCETMPU cable is a medium-voltage three-conductor round portable trailing cable designed for the harsh movement, dragging, bending and abrasion found in mining power supply routes. It is especially suited for open pit mining and underground mining where shovels, draglines, shuttle cars and other self-driven loaders need reliable electrical power through cable reels or trailing cable systems.
This cable is built for high mechanical stress rather than ordinary fixed installation. The design combines Class 5 finely stranded tinned copper conductors, EPR insulation, semiconductive stress-control layers, two grounding conductors, one ground-check conductor, rubber-filled binder tape and a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) jacket. The TPU sheath provides high abrasion and tear resistance, while the EPR insulation system supports medium-voltage electrical reliability across 6/10 kV, 8.7/15 kV and 14/25 kV versions.
Key Features
- Portable trailing cable design: Round three-conductor construction for mobile and reel-fed mining equipment.
- Medium-voltage range: Covers 6/10 kV, 8.7/15 kV and 14/25 kV system requirements for heavy mining power supply.

Selection Notes for Mining Engineers
When specifying (N)TMCETMPU cable, confirm voltage class, phase conductor size, grounding conductor size, ground-check conductor size, bending method, drum or trailing route, tensile stress, expected abrasion, ampacity requirement and cable weight. In mobile mining equipment, the jacket material, grounding system and bending radius are as important as conductor ampacity because cable downtime can stop production equipment.
