UL 1056 PVC Appliance Wire, 105°C 600V
UL 1056 is a UL-certified PVC appliance wire rated 105°C and 600 V AC for internal wiring in indoor or outdoor refrigerating equipment. Its stranded copper conductor and thick PVC wall form a single-conductor lead for equipment assemblies that specify this AWM style.
- Voltage: 600 V AC
- Temperature: 105°C
- Insulation / covering: extruded PVC
- Size selection: 20–10 AWG
- Certification: UL-certified AWM; UL 758
UL 1056 wire selection
UL 1056 is a UL-certified PVC appliance wire rated 105°C and 600 V AC for internal wiring in indoor or outdoor refrigerating equipment. Its stranded copper conductor and thick PVC wall form a single-conductor lead for equipment assemblies that specify this AWM style.
The six configurations below run from 20 AWG to 10 AWG. All use a nominal 1.52 mm insulation wall, while the finished diameter increases from 4.00 mm to 6.05 mm. That difference matters when a replacement lead must fit an existing terminal boot, entry sleeve or harness route. Match both the conductor size and the available clearance before selecting a row.
For refrigeration equipment, check the temperature at the connection as well as along the wire route. A hot terminal or a restricted passage can govern the selection even when the surrounding cabinet is cooler. The equipment wiring application does not establish suitability as an exposed outdoor power cord.
See the Specifications tab for the model and size tables. Browse the high-temperature cable range for related constructions. Compare higher-temperature silicone hook-up wire family when PVC is outside the duty range.
Construction
UL 1056 uses the following conductor and insulation system. The diagram illustrates the layer sequence; select the conductor construction and covering shown in the required size specification.

| Component | Construction detail |
|---|---|
| Conductor | Stranded bare or tinned copper |
| Insulation | Extruded PVC |
| Construction | Single insulated conductor |
Applications
UL 1056 suits internal lead connections in refrigerating equipment where the equipment specification calls for 600 V PVC insulation at 105°C. Keep the lead supported inside the assembly and check entry protection at sheet-metal edges.

UL 1056 replacement selection
For replacement enquiries, include the existing wire marking and the equipment connection drawing so the conductor, insulation and terminal arrangement can be matched.

Selecting the specified construction
Specify UL 1056, AWG, bare or tinned conductor, insulation colour and required length. Match the 1.52 mm wall and finished diameter when replacing an existing harness lead.
