TRA anti-torsion PUR reeling cable supplies power and control to heavy moving machinery through multiple reel patterns. It is used on portal cranes, shiploaders, stackers and reclaimers where repeated winding, speed and torsional stability must be handled together.

The cable uses flexible Class 5 copper conductors, polypropylene insulation and a double polyurethane sheath. A textile anti-twisting braid is embedded between the sheath layers to control rotation without sacrificing cable flexibility. The 0.6/1 kV design supports horizontal and vertical travel speeds up to 200 m/min and tensile loading up to 25 N/mm². Minimum bending radii are 6 x cable diameter on the spool, 9 x diameter at a guiding device and 4 x diameter on an anti-tension drum.

TRA is suitable for spring and motorized reels, including monospiral, random-winding and level-wind systems. Specify reel pattern, drum diameter, number of cable layers, travel direction, speed, acceleration, hanging length, bending points, conductor arrangement and route exposure with the enquiry. Dedicated spreader reels with 30 N/mm² tensile demand use the reinforced RXX or TRA-RF family.

Anti-Torsion Design

The embedded braid couples the inner and outer sheath so winding torque is distributed through the cable structure instead of concentrating in the conductors.
