ENCT 75 Ohm Flexible Coaxial Cable for Festoon Systems
75 Ω flexible coaxial cable with polyethylene insulation and a chloroprene rubber sheath for festoon signal circuits. Choose one to four 5C-2E or 7C-2E coaxial units from the configuration tables.
ENCT cable is a 75 Ω flexible coaxial cable for signal connections on festoon systems. It combines stranded centre conductors, polyethylene dielectric and individual coaxial outer conductors within a chloroprene rubber sheath. The range includes one, two, three or four coaxial units in 5C-2E and 7C-2E constructions.
The first selection is the coaxial unit size, followed by the number of signal circuits. A single-unit cable has one coaxial circuit beneath its rubber sheath. Multi-unit constructions add an individual polyethylene inner sheath around each coaxial unit before the units are assembled with filler and an overall sheath. This distinction affects stripping, termination space and the finished cable diameter.
Use the configuration tables to match the available routing space, cable mass and minimum bending radius at 20°C. Maintain the coaxial geometry through the termination and choose connector dimensions for the actual ENCT construction. The finished diameters differ from conventional coaxial cables sharing a 5C or 7C designation, so connector selection should include the conductor, dielectric and sheath dimensions.
For an ENCT cable quotation, specify the unit designation, number of coaxial circuits, length and festoon layout. Include the signal equipment and operating frequency so the cable and termination requirements can be matched to the circuit. Underwater and towing installations use different cable constructions; compare the related coaxial products by impedance and mechanical duty.

For crane festoon and reeling systems requiring multi-pair control or main power feeders alongside 75 Ohm ENCT coaxial video cable, compare these JIS rubber cables: K-PNCT / K-PNCT-SB Flexible Instrumentation Cable (shielded and unshielded flexible EPDM/chloroprene instrumentation cable for crane control loops); PNCT Reeling Cable 600 V–1 kV — Round, Flat and Reinforced Types (600 V to 1 kV round, flat, and tensile-reinforced PNCT reeling cables for mobile port machinery). Coordinate minimum loop diameter and trolley travel speed across all cables in the festoon pack.
Construction
The illustration shows ENCT 3 × (5C-2E): three separate coaxial units in a compact triangular arrangement inside one rubber sheath. Each unit retains its own concentric conductor, dielectric and outer conductor.

| Component | Material and construction |
|---|---|
| Centre conductor | Flexible stranded conductor: 19 × 0.18 mm for 5C-2E units or 33 × 0.18 mm for 7C-2E units. |
| Dielectric | Polyethylene insulation; dielectric outside diameter 5.6 mm for 5C-2E or 7.6 mm for 7C-2E. |
| Coaxial outer conductor | Individual outer conductor surrounding each dielectric, with a nominal radial thickness of 0.35 mm or 0.45 mm respectively. |
| Individual inner sheath | A 0.5 mm polyethylene sheath around each coaxial unit in the two-, three- and four-unit constructions. |
| Assembly | Multi-unit cables contain filler and a binder around the assembled units. Single-unit cables have a binder beneath the outer sheath. |
| Outer sheath | Chloroprene rubber, with the wall thickness and finished diameter listed for each configuration. |
| Unit identification | Colour and tracer identification for distinguishing the individual coaxial units. |
Applications
Select ENCT for 75 Ω signal circuits routed through a supported festoon system, with the cable and termination geometry matched to the equipment.

- Moving signal connections between fixed equipment and a travelling trolley on a festoon route.
- One to four independent coaxial signal circuits carried in one round cable.
- Industrial camera or monitoring circuits whose equipment requires a 75 Ω coaxial interface.
- Maintain the specified bend radius throughout the hanging loops and support the cable at its designated clamps.
- For a cable-chain route, include travel, speed, acceleration and bending geometry with the enquiry so the construction can be matched to that duty.
