(N)TSCGEWCUEUS 6/10 kV Water-Resistant Pump Power and Control Cable

6/10 kV water-resistant pump power-and-control cable design with three 50 mm² phases, split earths, four 0.5 mm² auxiliary cores and overall tinned-copper braid.

Product information
Product overview

(N)TSCGEWCUEUS 6/10 kV is the designation in the TEBAOFLEX source document for a combined pump power and auxiliary-control cable. The documented arrangement is three 50 mm² phase cores, two split 25/2 mm² earth-conductor elements and four 0.5 mm² auxiliary cores inside one screened construction. This configuration is intended for water-exposed pump and dredging supply routes where separating the power and control cables would complicate handling and termination.

The design description calls for flexible tinned-copper conductors, semiconductive screens around the power insulation, EPR-based insulation, screened auxiliary cores, a GM1b inner sheath, an overall tinned-copper wire braid and a red 5GM5 polychloroprene outer sheath. The overall braid has a bonding and screening role; its termination should be planned together with the split earth conductors. The drawing text describes use on submersible pumps, pontoons, floating docks and wet mining equipment.

The one supplied size is a preliminary design entry. It gives a calculated 54–58 mm finished diameter and approximate mass, copper content and current at specified free-air conditions; these need a controlled order drawing and test record before use as guaranteed values. Water depth, exposure duration, fluid chemistry, gland interface and movement duty must be supplied for the final cable selection.

Compare the TMP-NTSWOEU pump cable and the NTSCGEWOEU crane reeling cable; the similar prefixes do not make their core layouts or service duties interchangeable. Explore the pump cable range.

A 180 m order of this cable for a 6000 V submersible pump on a medium-voltage VFD, agreed at a maximum outside diameter of 54 mm for the pump's cable entry, is documented with its factory acceptance criteria on the river-port pump cable replacement case page.

Construction

The TEBAOFLEX document specifies fine-stranded tinned-copper phase conductors, a semiconductive conductor screen, EPR-based power-core insulation and a semiconductive insulation screen. Two split earth elements and a screened group of four 0.5 mm² auxiliary cores are assembled with the power cores. A GM1b inner sheath sits below an overall tinned-copper wire braid; a red 5GM5 polychloroprene jacket forms the outer protective layer.

Terminations must account separately for the power, split earth, auxiliary cores and overall braid. The final cable drawing must establish the ordered marking and termination sequence for the application.

Supplied cross-section key (numbers 1–9): 1. tinned-copper power conductor; 2. first split earth element; 3. EPR power-core insulation; 4. power-core semiconductive insulation screen; 5. second split earth element; 6. screened four-core auxiliary-control group; 7. GM1b inner sheath; 8. overall tinned-copper braid; 9. red 5GM5 PCP outer sheath. The semiconductive conductor screen beneath the EPR insulation is also specified in the source construction text.

Applications

The documented use case is a 6/10 kV water-resistant flexible supply for submersible pumps and related wet industrial equipment, with integrated auxiliary-control conductors. Potential routes named in the source include dredgers, floating docks, pontoons and wet mining plant. Final underwater suitability depends on the actual pressure/depth, immersion time, fluid and cable-entry seal as well as the cable body.

State the pump motor demand, route length, permitted outer diameter at the entry gland, power/earth/control pinout, motion, water conditions and installation temperature in the RFQ. Do not substitute a 3 × 50 + 3 × 25/3 reeling cable or a power-only submersible cable solely because a catalogue model prefix looks similar.

Specifications

The single documented arrangement is shown below. The engineering document marks dimensions, copper mass, cable mass and ampacity as calculated or approximate nominal values, pending release of a controlled production drawing.

*Finished OD, copper content, cable mass and free-air ampacity are preliminary engineering estimates, not final product guarantees. The copper-content estimate includes an unverified braid allowance; confirm on the released bill of materials. The ≈200 A estimate assumes 30°C free air and is not a submerged or grouped-circuit rating. The 0.393 Ω/km figure is the IEC 60228 maximum reference for a 50 mm² Class 5 tinned-copper phase conductor at 20°C, not a measured finished-cable result. The source also gives a 12 kV maximum system voltage, 90°C continuous conductor reference, 250°C short-circuit temperature and 17 kV AC/5 min design test reference. Its 6 × finished OD bending figure is a preliminary handling reference; confirm fixed-installation and repeated-flexing limits for the ordered design.

Standards

The TEBAOFLEX design document lists DIN VDE 0250-813, IEC 60502-2 and IEC 60228 Class 5 as design or material references. It also names IEC 60332-1-2 for flame propagation, IEC 60811-404 for oil exposure, IEC 60811-403 for ozone exposure and ISO 4892-2 for ultraviolet exposure. These are stated test references for the proposed build; the finished cable's scope and results should be recorded on the approved order documentation.
