The cable can be supplied as a power-only pump cable, a pump cable with integrated monitoring cores, or a screened submersible pump cable for VFD operation. Submersible pump cables fail for different reasons than ordinary workshop rubber cables. The weak points are normally the cable entry seal, repeated wet handling, chemical or oil exposure, conductor insulation stress, and the routing of small auxiliary sensor cables. TF-SUB addresses these points with a wet-duty CPE sheath, rubber insulation, optional integrated monitoring cores and screened versions for VFD-driven equipment.
Construction
- Power conductors: flexible copper stranded conductors sized according to motor load and voltage-drop requirements.
- Conductor insulation: HEPR or EPR rubber insulation selected for wet-duty service and conductor temperature performance.
- Optional control cores: integrated monitoring cores or screened pairs can be included for pump sensors, thermal monitoring or supervision systems.
- Optional screen: screened power/control constructions are available for VFD pump drives and EMC-sensitive signal circuits.
