Type W Magnet Crane Cable 2000V
Type W magnet crane cable is a 2000V portable-power cable for lifting magnets, scrap yards and foundries where sharp metal, impact and repeated flexing increase the risk of jacket damage. The proposed range uses flexible bare-copper rope conductors, EPDM insulation and a double-layer aramid-reinforced thermoset jacket.
- Voltage: 2000V
- Configurations: 2 conductors, 8 AWG to 2/0 AWG; 4 conductors, 8 AWG to 2 AWG
- Conductor: Extra-flexible Class K soft-drawn bare copper
- Insulation: Colour-coded thermoset EPDM
- Jacket: Double-layer aramid-reinforced thermoset compound
- Temperature reference: -50°C to +105°C continuous dry operation
Send the conductor count, AWG size, cable length, movement pattern, bend path and required marking or test documents with the RFQ.
Type W Magnet Crane Cable for Scrap-Yard and Foundry Duty
Type W magnet crane cable is a 2000V portable-power construction for lifting magnets and crane routes exposed to sharp metal, repeated flexing and mechanical impact. The proposed TEBAOFLEX range combines extra-flexible bare-copper rope conductors, colour-coded EPDM insulation, non-wicking fillers and a double-layer aramid-reinforced thermoset jacket. It is positioned separately from a general Type W mining cable because buyers in scrap yards and foundries are primarily comparing cut-through resistance, conductor flexibility, cable visibility and the exact two- or four-conductor arrangement.
The proposed range covers two-conductor sizes from 8 AWG through 2/0 AWG and four-conductor sizes from 8 AWG through 2 AWG. Select the cable from circuit layout, load current, route length, minimum bend diameter, movement pattern, termination space and required jacket or approval documentation. The supplied reference lists a 2000V rating and a continuous dry-temperature range from -50°C to +105°C; final TEBAOFLEX drawings and test scope must be confirmed for the ordered size.
- Best fit: Lifting-magnet power on scrap-yard and foundry cranes with severe cut-through exposure.
- Choose carefully: Automatic reeling, high torsion or unsupported vertical travel requires a separate mechanical review.
- Related options: Compare the three-conductor round Type W cable and four-conductor Type W mining cable.

Type W Magnet Crane Cable Construction
The proposed construction is designed around flexibility and mechanical protection in areas where loose or sharp metal can contact the cable.| Component | Proposed construction | Selection purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Conductors | Extra-flexible Class K rope-stranded, soft-drawn uncoated copper | Supports repeated handling while reducing conductor fatigue risk |
| Separator | Paper separator over insulated elements where required | Supports clean stripping during termination |
| Insulation | Colour-coded thermoset EPDM | Provides electrical insulation and conductor identification |
| Core identification | 2/C: black and white; 4/C: black, white, red and green | Matches the supplied configuration schedule |
| Cabling and fillers | Insulated conductors cabled with non-wicking fillers and an overall binder | Maintains a round profile and improves impact support |
| Outer jacket | Double-layer aramid-reinforced thermoset jacket; high-visibility colour available by project | Designed to improve tensile, abrasion and metal cut-through resistance |
Magnet Crane Cable Applications and Selection Limits
This cable is intended for low-voltage lifting-magnet circuits and portable-power routes where sharp scrap, hot-work debris or repeated handling creates more severe mechanical exposure than a normal Type W route.- Scrap-yard magnet cranes and lifting electromagnets
- Foundry material-handling cranes
- Steel-processing and recycling equipment with metal cut-through risk
- Portable or mobile heavy equipment using a compatible two- or four-conductor circuit
- Crane routes requiring a visible, reinforced flexible cable
