NGFLGOEU Cable for Fast, Repeated Festoon Travel

NGFLGOEU flat festoon cable supplies low-voltage power and control to crane trolleys, machine tools and moving material-handling equipment. Its parallel flat construction is intended for frequent bending in one plane, helping cable loops track predictably in a properly engineered festoon system.

The 300/500V family includes NGFLGOEU-J and NGFLGOEU-O arrangements for power, control, bus and individually screened circuits. Bare flexible copper conductors, EPR rubber insulation and a black chloroprene-rubber outer sheath support demanding indoor or outdoor duty. The source data lists resistance to oil, ozone, UV and moisture, with flexible operation from -35°C to +80°C.

  • Electrical: 300/500V rated voltage and 2.5kV AC test for 5 minutes
  • Mechanical: maximum tensile load 15 N/mm²; torsion is not permitted
  • Selection: configurations from control cores and power cores to screened pairs and screened power variants

ConductorBare electrolytic copper; extremely finely stranded Class 6 up to 25 mm² and finely stranded Class 5 above 35 mm², as stated in the supplied source.

  • Indoor and outdoor festoon routes exposed to ozone, UV and moisture

  • Screened control, bus or power circuits where the selected configuration includes the specified braid
Do not select this cable for torsional duty. Gantry reeling operation is listed as not applicable. For trolley festoon systems, the supplied data gives guidance up to 180 m/min and recommends manufacturer consultation above 180 m/min. Carrier spacing, loop depth, clamp design, bend radius and cable tensile load must be checked for the actual system.
