Product overview

Mineral processing concentrators, coal preparation plants, overland conveyor galleries and underground mine drift lighting networks require 600 V and 1 kV feeder and branch cables that can transition directly from cable tray to motors, luminaire drops and field disconnects without conduit or rigid metallic armour. Standard tray cable is vulnerable to falling ore and rib pinch, whereas Crush-Resistant Type TC-ER (Exposed Run) 600 V and 1 kV Mining Power and Stringer Lighting Cable is engineered to meet UL 1277 Exposed Run crush and impact criteria equivalent to UL 1569 metal-clad (Type MC) cable.

By combining 90 C wet/dry XHHW-2 cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) or thermoset EPR insulated copper conductors (Class B or flexible Class C/H stranding from 14 AWG to 500 kcmil) with an impact-absorbing inner polymeric matrix, high-tenacity synthetic binder/braid reinforcement and an extra-heavy-duty thermoset CPE or halogen-free LSZH outer sheath, this cable resists severe rock impact while remaining lighter and easier to terminate than interlocked armour.

In 14 AWG to 8 AWG sizes with high-visibility yellow or orange jackets, the cable serves as a rugged underground drift and tunnel stringer lighting trunk accepting molded LED luminaire drop tees and messenger-wire J-hooks. In 6 AWG to 500 kcmil sizes, it feeds crushers, flotation cells, slurry pumps and ventilation fans. TEBAOFLEX supplies custom lengths from a 50 m MOQ with a 7 to 45 working day lead time.
