3GSEYQY 18/30 kV Screened Tunnel Cable
18/30 kV screened tunnel cable with EPR insulation, copper tape screens and minimum 90% galvanized steel wire braid.
3GSEYQY is an 18/30 kV screened tunnel cable for mobile mine and tunnelling equipment and for stationary connections at high-voltage transformers, main panels and switchboards. The supplied VDE datasheet specifies three concentrically laid screened cores, circular stranded plain annealed copper Class 2 conductors, 3GI3 EPR insulation with inner and outer semiconductive layers, copper tape over each main core, PVC filler, galvanized steel wire braid with minimum 90% coverage and a red 5GM5 elastomer sheath. The source lists 48 kV AC testing, 90 °C maximum conductor temperature and 250 °C short-circuit temperature. Fixed service is −25 °C to +90 °C and mobile service is +5 °C to +90 °C. Conductor sizes in the supplied table range from 3 × 25/16 to 3 × 120/16. The braid and screening arrangement should be checked against the specified mechanical protection and installation environment before quotation. For mobile service, coordinate the requested bending and torsional duty with the support system, protective routing and termination space; verify the applicable current-carrying table for the actual ambient condition. Confirm the final conductor size, route, current calculation, termination, earthing arrangement, test documentation and delivery schedule with TEBAOFLEX.
3GSEYQY screened tunnel-cable construction
3GSEYQY uses three screened medium-voltage cores laid concentrically. Each main core has EPR insulation with inner and outer semiconductive layers, followed by a copper tape screen; PVC filler, galvanized steel wire braid and a red elastomer sheath complete the supplied arrangement.

| Parameter | Source-listed value |
|---|---|
| Conductor | Circular stranded plain annealed copper, Class 2 according to IEC 60228 |
| Insulation / field control | 3GI3 quality EPR rubber compound with extruded inner and outer semi-conductive layers |
| Core identification | Natural colouring with black semi-conductive layer |
| Screen | Copper tapes applied over each main core |
| Lay-up | Three screened cores laid up concentrically |
| Bedding | PVC filler |
| Armour | Galvanized steel wire braid with minimum 90% coverage |
| Outer sheath | 5GM5 type elastomer compound, red |
The copper tape screens provide the documented electrical-screening layer while the ≥90% braid supplies mechanical protection. Confirm the termination and earthing arrangement against the project drawing.
Applications for 3GSEYQY
The supplied application positions this 18/30 kV screened tunnel cable for mobile operating equipment in mines, underground excavations and tunnelling environments. It is also listed for stationary connections to high-voltage transformers, main panels and switchboards.

- Mobile mining and tunnelling equipment using the stated 18/30 kV system
- Stationary high-voltage transformer, main-panel and switchboard connections listed in the source
- Underground excavation and tunnel routes where screening and mechanical braid protection are required
- Confirm route movement, cable support, terminations, earthing, current calculation and final bending arrangement before quotation
The cable is not selected by voltage alone. Provide the equipment, route, installation mode and protection requirements so the supplied construction can be checked against the actual duty.
