MVFP and MYPTJ-JS Metallic-Shielded Mine VFD Inverter and Feeder Cable
Chinese MT-system mine cables for converter and feeder duty: MVFP shielded inverter cable at 0.38/0.66, 0.66/1.14 and 1.9/3.3 kV for fixed connections between mine frequency converters and motors, with a symmetrical 3+3 earth layout, and MYPTJ-JS 3.6/6 to 8.7/10 kV metallic-screened, monitored rubber feeder cable for underground pumps and equipment. Tinned Class 5 copper and EPR insulation.
Underground coal mines now drive belt conveyors, hoists, winches, fans and main pumps through frequency converters, and the cable between converter and motor sees steep voltage fronts, common-mode currents and electromagnetic interference that ordinary mining power cable is not designed to handle. Chinese MT-system mines specify this link as MVFP, a shielded mine inverter cable, while medium-voltage pump and equipment feeds can be specified as MYPTJ-JS, an enterprise variant of the monitored MYPTJ family. This page covers both designations from 0.38/0.66 kV to 8.7/10 kV.
MVFP is built for fixed connection of mine frequency converter installations at 0.38/0.66 kV, 0.66/1.14 kV and 1.9/3.3 kV. Three tinned Class 5 copper power cores with EPR insulation are laid up with three symmetrical earth cores, for example 3×16+3×4 mm2, so the earth return is balanced, and a metallic screen under a chloroprene-type sheath contains interference. It is not intended for reeling or continuous trailing; mobile 2000 V VFD duty belongs to a different construction. MYPTJ-JS covers 3.6/6, 6/10 and 8.7/10 kV with metallic phase screens, split earth cores, an additional core and a chloroprene-type sheath, in layouts such as 3×16+3×16/3+1×10 mm2, for underground dewatering pumps and equipment feeds.
The JS suffix is an enterprise designation; TEBAOFLEX confirms its construction, the function of the additional core and any immersion conditions on the factory drawing, and no water-depth rating is claimed here. The China MA safety-mark certificates listed for standard MYPTJ on our MYPTJ page do not extend to MYPTJ-JS or MVFP.

MVFP and MYPTJ-JS Mine Inverter & Monitored Feeder Applications
Use MVFP for fixed converter-to-motor links and MYPTJ-JS for medium-voltage pump and equipment feeders.

- Fixed connections between mine frequency converters and motors on belt conveyors, hoists, winches and main fans at 0.38/0.66 kV to 1.9/3.3 kV (MVFP).
- Converter-fed underground pump stations and auxiliary drives where a symmetrical 3+3 earth layout and metallic screen limit interference with mine monitoring systems (MVFP).
- Underground dewatering pumps and medium-voltage equipment feeds at 3.6/6 kV to 8.7/10 kV (MYPTJ-JS), with any immersion conditions confirmed on the drawing.
- Chinese coal machinery packages exported to overseas coal mines that call for MVFP or MYPTJ-JS by designation.

MVFP and MYPTJ-JS Frequently Asked Questions
Why does MVFP use a 3+3 symmetrical earth layout and metallic screen?
Mine frequency converters generate steep dv/dt voltage fronts and common-mode currents. Laying three symmetrical earth cores in the interstices between the three EPR-insulated power cores balances the earth return, while the tinned copper wire metallic screen contains electromagnetic interference so nearby mine monitoring and communication circuits are not disturbed.
Can MVFP be used on mobile reeling drums or continuous trailing chains?
No. MVFP (0.38/0.66, 0.66/1.14 and 1.9/3.3 kV) is designed for fixed installation between frequency converter cabinets and motors on conveyors, hoists, winches, fans and pump stations, with a minimum bending radius of 8 x D. For mobile trailing or reeling VFD duty, select our 2000 V Mining VFD Cable or 3GSEGCH / 3GSEGCY medium-voltage VFD motor cable.
What is MYPTJ-JS and how is it used?
MYPTJ-JS is an enterprise-standard 3.6/6 kV, 6/10 kV and 8.7/10 kV rubber feeder cable based on the MT/T 818.6 MYPTJ family, combining three metallic-screened EPR power cores, three split earth cores (such as 3x16/3 to 3x35/3 mm²) and one 1x10 mm² additional core for underground dewatering pumps and medium-voltage equipment feeds.
What are the minimum order quantity and manufacturing lead time?
The minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 50 m and the manufacturing lead time is 7 to 45 working days, with screen arrangement, additional-core function and any immersion conditions confirmed on the factory drawing.
