SOOW Multi-Core 600V MSHA Mining Control Cable (5 to 60 Cores)
Heavy-duty 600 V multi-conductor portable mining control and automation cable engineered to UL 62, CSA C22.2 No. 49 and MSHA flame-resistance requirements in Type SOOW from 5 to 60 conductors (18 AWG, 16 AWG, 14 AWG, 12 AWG and 10 AWG). Combines flexible Class K copper stranding, -40 C to +90 C oil-resistant EPDM/EPR insulation and a heavy oil- and weather-resistant thermoset CPE/PCP jacket. MOQ 50 m; lead time 7 to 45 working days.
Automated longwall shearers, surface dragline house-control cabinets, mobile crushing plants, crane festoon loops and underground mine ventilation or pumping skids require high-density 600 V control harnesses that remain flexible at sub-zero temperatures while resisting hydraulic oils and rock abrasion. Type SOOW Multi-Core 600 V MSHA Mining Control Cable extends the classic 2-to-4-core portable cord architecture into planetary multi-conductor assemblies from 5 to 60 cores across 18 AWG, 16 AWG, 14 AWG, 12 AWG and 10 AWG.
In accordance with UL 62 and CSA C22.2 No. 49, the SOOW designation certifies Service cord (600 V), Oil-resistant thermoset insulation, Oil-resistant thermoset outer jacket and Weather/Water resistance for indoor and outdoor wet locations. Each core uses finely stranded Class K (30 AWG strand) bare or tinned annealed copper insulated with 90 C EPDM/EPR rubber and identified by ICEA Method 1/Method 4 colour coding or high-contrast white numbers printed on black insulation.
The multi-layer planetary core assembly is bound with a low-friction separator tape and encased in a heavy-duty black or yellow MSHA-flame-retardant chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) or polychloroprene (PCP) jacket rated down to -40 C. TEBAOFLEX supplies custom core counts and cut reel lengths from a 50 m MOQ with a 7 to 45 working day lead time.
