UGF & UGEFP High-Voltage Open-Pit Mining Trailing Cable (3.6/6–6/10 kV)
High-voltage flexible rubber trailing cables (UGF 3.6/6 kV, UGF 6/10 kV, UGEFP 3.6/6 kV and UGEFP 6/10 kV) engineered for open-pit mining electric rope shovels, hydraulic excavators, bucket-wheel excavators, rotary blast-hole drills and mobile transformers. Built with Class 5 tinned copper conductors, triple-extruded +90 °C EPR insulation, semiconductive or tinned-copper composite phase shields, an interstitial grounding core and a weather-, oil- and cold-resistant (-40 °C) chloroprene/CPE outer sheath.
UGF and UGEFP high-voltage mining trailing cables are designed for surface and open-pit mining machinery operating on 3.6/6 kV and 6/10 kV three-phase distribution networks.Dragged over blasted haul-road rock, wound onto mobile cable skids or guided over boom sheaves on electric rope shovels and large blast-hole drills, these cables combine medium-voltage dielectric integrity with extreme mechanical impact, abrasion and cold-bend resilience.
In the standard UGF construction (3+1 cores, 16 mm² to 150 mm²), three Class 5 flexible tinned-copper power cores are insulated with +90 °C ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) between extruded inner and outer semiconductive elastomer screens, laid up around a semiconductive rubber center cradle with an uninsulated flexible tinned-copper earth conductor in direct contact with the three phase screens.
In the metallic-shielded UGEFP construction, each power core adds an individual tinned-copper wire and synthetic-fibre composite metallic shield over the outer semiconductive layer, providing enhanced fault-current capacity and electrostatic screening for long open-pit feeder runs and variable-frequency shovel drives. Standard and cold-climate formulations operate across ambient temperatures down to -40 °C while resisting solar UV, ozone, oil and acid pit water.
Provide the rated voltage (3.6/6 kV or 6/10 kV), model (UGF or UGEFP), conductor cross-section, minimum ambient site temperature and coupler requirement with your enquiry. TEBAOFLEX manufactures custom lengths from a 50 m minimum order quantity with a standard lead time of 7–45 working days.

Confirm rated voltage, minimum ambient operating temperature (-25°C vs -40°C), and earth-check architecture before ordering.
Construction
The representative construction illustrates UGEFP 6/10 kV 3×70 + 1×25 mm²: three equal Class 5 flexible tinned-copper power cores with inner semiconductive screen, +90 °C EPR medium-voltage insulation, outer semiconductive screen and tinned-copper composite metallic shield, plus one flexible tinned-copper earth conductor in the interstitial valley, cabled around a semiconductive profile center and enclosed in a light-grey inner bedding, reinforcing braid and heavy-duty black cold- and weather-resistant chloroprene/CPE outer sheath.

Applications
Choose UGF for standard semiconductive-screened open-pit trailing service or UGEFP where individual metallic phase shielding is required by high-voltage earth-fault protection relays.

- Open-pit mining electric rope shovels, walking draglines and large hydraulic face shovels operating at 6 kV or 10 kV.
- High-voltage rotary blast-hole drill rigs, bucket-wheel excavators and mobile crusher units on surface mine benches.
- Mobile skid-mounted substations and open-pit ring-main trailing feeders dragged across rock benches and haul-road cable bridges.
- Cold-region surface mining operations down to -40 °C ambient temperature with minimum dynamic bending radius of 6 × D (UGF) to 10 × D (UGEFP).
