Product overview

NTMCWOEU 26/45 kV flexible switchgear cable

TEBAOFLEX NTMCWOEU cable is a flexible single-core medium-voltage connection cable for switchgear cubicles, mobile transformer substations and selected railway equipment. The supplied construction data describes a tinned flexible copper conductor, zero-halogen cross-linked HEPR insulation, semiconductive electric-field control, a tinned copper wire screen and a zero-halogen EVA-based outer sheath.

The NTMCWOEU range is intended where the cable must be routed and handled around equipment while maintaining a defined medium-voltage construction. The reference sheet lists 26/45 kV rated voltage, +90 °C maximum conductor temperature, +250 °C short-circuit conductor temperature and operating temperatures from -40 °C to +80 °C. It also lists free-movement, installation and fixed-installation bending guidance based on the outer diameter.

  • Typical duties: switchgear connections, mobile transformer substations, overhead-line connections and pantographs on locomotives or trains.
  • Reference sizes: 1×50/16 through 1×630/35, with diameter, weight, resistance and current values shown in the Specifications tab.
  • Order boundary: confirm the final size, screen section, voltage, colour, installation mode and inspection or test documents against the approved drawing.

TEBAOFLEX can manufacture the NTMCWOEU construction to the required project configuration. Request the cable drawing and quotation before treating any reference range as a guaranteed finished size.

Construction

NTMCWOEU cable construction

The NTMCWOEU construction combines a class 5 tinned copper conductor with zero-halogen insulation, screened electric-field control and a flexible tinned copper wire screen. The sheath is specified as a zero-halogen cross-linked EVA-based compound; red or black are listed, with other colours available on request.

Applications

NTMCWOEU cable applications

Use the NTMCWOEU cable where a flexible single-core medium-voltage connection is required around switchgear, mobile transformer equipment or railway equipment. The supplied application reference covers the following duties:
  • Connection of switchgear cubicles
  • Connection of mobile transformer substations to overhead lines
  • Connection of pantographs on locomotives and trains
  • Railway vehicles with hazard level HL3 according to DIN EN 45545-1 (2013), where the final vehicle and system approval requires it
During laying and operation, protect the NTMCWOEU installation from excessive mechanical stress. Confirm the route, bend mode, support, termination, screen bonding and required railway or equipment documentation in the order drawing. DIN VDE 0298-3 is identified in the supplied application material. For a switchgear or mobile-substation quotation, send the NTMCWOEU voltage, cross-section, screen section, length, colour, installation arrangement and required test documents.
