NYY Cable 0.6/1 kV Copper PVC Power Cable
Unarmoured CU/PVC/PVC power and control cable for fixed installation, rated 0.6/1 kV. Single-core, multicore and reduced-neutral configurations with solid or stranded copper conductors.
NYY cable is an unarmoured 0.6/1 kV copper power cable with PVC insulation and a PVC outer jacket. It is intended for fixed electrical installations in industrial plants, distribution networks, switching stations and cable ducts where the route protects the cable from mechanical damage.
The construction is available with solid or stranded rigid copper conductors. Single-core cables provide separate circuit conductors; multicore cables combine the required conductors under one sheath. Reduced-neutral arrangements and higher-core-count control versions are listed separately because their conductor arrangement and overall diameter differ.
PVC insulation has a maximum operating conductor temperature of 70°C. Cable routing, installation protection and minimum bend radius must be considered together with electrical loading. NYY is a fixed-installation family; continuously moving connections require a cable designed for that movement.
The size schedules provide model-plus-configuration designations, approximate diameters, weights and conductor resistance at 20°C. They help compare routing space, connection requirements and cable handling before an order is placed. Send the required configuration, conductor construction, route, length and project standards for a TEBAOFLEX quotation. For a mechanically exposed route, include the installation protection or armouring requirement in the enquiry.

When evaluating 0.6/1 kV NYY fixed PVC power cable against flexible power and control alternatives, compare these constructions: RV-K Cable 0.6/1kV XLPE PVC Flexible Power Cable (Class 5 flexible copper conductor with 90°C XLPE insulation and PVC sheath for tight routing); Flexible PVC Control Cable – Y, YCY and 600 V VCT (multicore unshielded Y, braided-shield YCY, and 600 V VCT control cables for machinery wiring). Match conductor stranding class and thermal rating to your conduit or tray layout.
Construction
NYY has a straightforward copper/PVC/PVC construction. The illustration shows a representative single-core cable; multicore versions include laid-up insulated cores and fillers.

| Component | Material and construction |
|---|---|
| Conductor | Solid or stranded rigid copper, according to the selected size and construction. |
| Insulation | PVC insulation around each conductor. |
| Multicore assembly | Insulated cores with suitable fillers and an extruded or lapped inner covering. |
| Outer jacket | Black PVC outer jacket. |
Applications
NYY is selected for fixed power and control circuits where external mechanical protection suits the installation route.

- Industrial plant power distribution and switching stations.
- Indoor and outdoor fixed routes, cable ducts and protected underground installations.
- Single-core feeders, multicore circuits and higher-core-count control connections.
- Use a motion-rated cable for flexible equipment connections.
To compare PVC compound limits against elastomeric jackets or select lighter indoor PVC cords, review these guides and specifications: Rubber Cable vs PVC Cable: Temperature, Flexing, Oil and Where Each Belongs (comparison of thermal limits, cold-weather stiffness, and oil resistance between PVC and rubber); H05VV-F 300/500 V PVC Flexible Cable (300/500 V fine-stranded PVC flexible cord for indoor appliances and light office equipment). Verify burial depth, UV exposure, and ambient temperature range before installation.

Dimensions and weights are approximate. The conductor resistance in reduced-neutral configurations refers to the main conductor cross-section.
Current-carrying capacity depends on formation, burial conditions, soil thermal resistivity, ambient temperature, grouping and loading. Include these conditions when specifying the circuit.
